We quote the statutory fee and the travel fee separately, every time, before you book. Texas caps what a notary can charge for the act itself — exceeding it risks prosecution and loss of the commission — but travel is a separate uncapped service. Anyone who will not itemise the two is worth asking why.

What to have ready
- Current government photo ID for every signer. Driver's licence, state ID or passport. Expired ID is generally not acceptable.
- The complete document, unsigned. Do not sign in advance. For a jurat the signature must happen in front of the notary, and a pre-signed document usually means a second visit and a second fee.
- Every signer present at the same appointment.
- Any witnesses your document requires. We can advise on how many, but we cannot act as your witness.

Why use a mobile notary
Bank notaries are free but limited — account holders only, business hours only, and many banks decline wills, estate documents and anything they consider high risk. Shipping stores are cheap but you travel to them and they keep retail hours.
A mobile notary is worth the travel fee when the signer cannot easily travel, when the appointment has to be outside business hours, when several people need to sign in one place, or when the document is time-critical. Hospital and care-facility signings are the clearest case: those almost never work any other way.

Can you notarise at a hospital or care home?
Yes. Hospital, rehabilitation and assisted-living signings are a regular part of what we do, most often for powers of attorney and estate documents. The signer must be alert, able to communicate, and able to show valid photo ID.
Are you available evenings and weekends?
Yes, subject to availability, at a higher rate than standard hours. Call to check the same day where possible.
What ID do I need for a mobile notary?
A current government-issued photo ID — driver's licence, state ID or passport. Expired ID is generally not acceptable, and every signer needs their own.
Should I sign the document before the notary arrives?
No. For a jurat you must sign in the notary's presence, and signing early usually means the appointment has to be repeated. Bring it complete but unsigned.
Can a notary tell me which type of notarisation I need?
No. Choosing the notarial act is legal advice, which a Texas notary is prohibited from giving. The wording already printed on your document determines it, or the agency requesting the document can tell you.
Do you handle apostilles too?
Yes. If your document is going abroad it will usually need an apostille after notarisation. We handle both, at $90 per document for the apostille with a one to two business day turnaround.
