Frequently Asked Questions

What is ARF Standard?

ARF Standard for practical PDF guides on parenting, health, relationships and travel, plus apostille and notary services in Austin, Texas.

Where is ARF Standard based?

We are based on Austin Texas, but we ship worldwide to bring our Apostille Services-forward everywhere.

How much does an apostille cost in Texas?

The Texas Secretary of State charges $15 per document. Our full-service price is $90 for the first document and $70 for each additional, which covers review, notarization, submission and collection.

How long does it take?

1–2 business days for Texas-issued documents. By mail through the state
directly it can take up to 25 business days.

Do I need my document notarized first?

It depends. Vital records — birth, death, marriage certificates — must be certified copies and must NOT be notarized. Private documents such as powers of attorney and affidavits do need notarization first. Getting this wrong is the most common reason documents are rejected.

Can you apostille a document from another state?

No. An apostille must be issued by the state that issued the document, or by the US Department of State for federal documents such as FBI background checks.

Do you come to me?

Yes. Mobile notary appointments are available across Central Texas, including evenings and weekends.

What countries accept a Texas apostille?

All 120+ members of the Hague Apostille Convention. For non-member countries you need consular legalisation, which we can advise on.
